Michael settled in at Southport

I finally got a letter from Michael! I was so worried having not received a letter written at Southport. I was actually stupid, as I know his money takes time to be transferred, and the last times he was transferred I made sure to send or bring some cash so he wouldn’t be without stamps. This time I didn’t think of that, so of course he had no stamps! He borrowed 2, and I sent him some money right out.

Michael has already made it out of Level one, so he can go to visits without shackles! But, Michael had an incident that could get him written up. He was having a random urine test, but was unable to go on command because of medication side effects. The CO’s didn’t help by yelling at him every ten minutes and threatening to write him up if he couldn’t do it. Well, he couldn’t, and was taken back to his Cell very upset, and thinking if he got a ticket it would add more time to his SHU sentence. The Liutennent came by when he saw Michael was so upset to ask why, so basically he’ll try to fix it so there’s no ticket, so no problems.

I’m back scheduling his visits, they are only weekends and Holidays, and only one visit a week. He’s probably booked this month, and the 1st 2 weeks of June. Please let me know asap if you plan on visiting. It’s around a 5 ½ hr drive from NYC.

Tell him about yourself, you can be very open with him! He loves to hear stories about things you have done. It doesn't have to be about going to a club, but if it is that's fine. Maybe you've have some of the same experiences?

Tell him your interests. Tell him how you got interested in him. The 1st letter doesn't have to be too long, but tell him something to make him remember you. Just don't ask him stupid questions like "what's your favorite vegetable" as he does get those questions and doesn't think much of them!

Maybe you could find a human rights agency or some info like that to help him out! Maybe send him an interesting story from online. Just write, then write again so that when he gets stamps he'll  remember you.
