Michael Alig is moved to his new Cell Block

Michael called today and sounded to be well. He has been trying to get rid of an annoying cold for weeks, and he thinks it's finally going away. He was moved to a new Cell Block yesterday which probably means he'll be starting the drug treatment program very soon. He is waiting on a letter to confirm this, which he says is mailed to him! I guess there's no "inter-office mail" in prison!

Michael continues to work on his book, and has been painting like crazy to keep busy.

    I had a great visit with Michael and he did start the drug program and today was the first day! He was very cordial and answered all my questions and I told him how many of us support him and I had an official hug from Michael and now we really need to pull together and send him positive letters and visits.
