Michael Alig in his summer stretch before release
Michael continues to lay low while awaiting his Conditional Release at Coxsackie Correctional Facility. He continues to attend the drug program which is mandatory for him to be released. Michael is as they say "working his program" and staying clean. So far this is the most positive I've seen him in the past 5 years with staying drug free.
It's still prison, so the distraction of visitors helps him quite a bit! It's a trek for those who do visit, and I'm always hoping to find more people to go! Michael has a prison festival next month which luckily I was able to confirm 2 people to go rather quickly! I have been to a festival at Coxsackie, and it's basically like a visit, but it's held in the gym. They have a breakfast and lunch buffet of real food which is a rarity for Michael. Real food can be referred to as a whole piece of chicken made with spices!
They also have music playing, big tables to sit at, and you can walk around which is not allowed at a regular visit.
