Michael had his Conditional Release Committee Hearing!
Michael finally had his day in front of the Conditional Release Committee on Wednesday. Well, day doesn't describe it, more like minutes! They asked him 2 questions, and didn't want him to say anything else. Michael is worried, well of course as nothing that happens in there makes sense. I tried to encourage him, as he has been doing great! It may take one to three weeks for him to get the results. Michael will let some people know when his release date will be as soon as he knows. I will post it here when I know.
So far the prison has let Michael continue to attend the drug program, which will keep him busy while he waits.

Two questions?! What on earth can they decide off of two questions? That's absurd. But you are absolutely right, he has been right on track and doing really well. I don't blame him for being nervous though. I totally agree with you, the decisions they make there don't make much sense at all. That must be one of toughest parts on Michael. Thanks for the update! I've already written him twice this week, but I'll send him another letter of encouragement.

Yes, the questions were based on what they told him he had to do in order to come back to the CR Committee. They were; Did you finish the drug treatment program? The other, did you have any major tickets (in trouble). He did finish the program, and asked if he could explain the ticket (when he was punched) and they did not let him. He was concerned over that, but I believe they didn't want to waste their time because a "Tier 2" ticket is minor and they don't care about it.

Hmm. It sounded like a normal mandatory meeting to me. That's how it has gone when I've gone before a board/ committee when I had been in trouble. Hopefully you're right about the ticket.

The info on the ticket comes from Michael, but he's still worried.

I have had the Party Monster movie for years and a few of my Rave friends just watched it for the first time and were instantly hooked. I have been there and remember some scary times while at some crazy party places.I hope that Michael does what it takes to get out of jail because I believe he was also a major asset to the outside world in his own way.
