Michael Alig's Visiting Schedule

Michael has visitors the following days;

Saturday June 4th (
so no one can visit on Sunday May 29th)

Sunday June 5th (so no one can visit on Saturday June 11th)

Sunday June 12th (so no one can visit on Saturday June 18th)

Monday July 4th
(So no one can visit Sunday July 3rd or Saturday July 9th)

Saturday September 3rd (So no one can visit Sunday August 28th)

Sunday September 4th (So no one can visit Saturday September 10th)

Michael is only allowed one visit per week, and the week runs Sunday through Saturday. That is why I list the other day that he can't have visitors that week, as if you show up there, they won't let you in. They make NO EXCEPTIONS!

Please email me at comments@michaelaligblog.com to reserve your visiting time. You must be 18 to visit.

Please send letters and cards separate from any packages containing books and/or magazines. Your letter will be sent back to you at Michael's expense!

Michael has only had one visitor! His Editor! He does have some coming up in June, July, and Sept. These people are reliable! Actually, all those visits are only 2 people! He really misses his friends from NYC and wishes they would visit!

I am so angry! I got a letter from Michael over a month ago and just found out that my roommate STOLE it because she doesn't think I should be corresponding with prisoners!!!! (She is very "Christian," although I don't think real Christians steal letters)

Anyway, I'm writing him and explaining that, and I hope he's doing as well as can be expected!

I'd be pissed too! That's a Federal crime, stealing mail! Just tell Michael what happened, he'll enjoy the story!

WOW!!! That is so messed up doesn't the bible tell people that you should love everyone ESPECIALLY those who need it most (like Michael). Tell her that by looking down on others because of where they are or because you might not understand is very UNchristian like. If anything thats more the reason to talk to him he need the support from people showing we care so he knows that people still care. Hope is a huge thing for most inmates.

Usually people like that have their own issues! I find ignoring them works the best.

Well, even with one person going 4 times, that's still 4 days spent out of his Cell! Visits are very important there! It's also strange that the people visiting travel a long way, no one in NY is going.

I sent out some magazines, a money order, information on article 78 and some pro bono lawyers in NY. He may have tried them before but 1 company was new only 2 years old. I send him the numbers. I hope he is doing the best he can.

The day I turn 18 I am looking on this website to see what days I can go see him, I have been very interested in this whole scene for many years now and I really want his view on all of this. But if i send a letter, is there a good chance that I will get one back?

If he knows that you're under 18 he can't write you back. I don't think he has a way to check it, and I'm not sure if the prison does. I think he mostly learns people's ages because people tell him. I always tell people to write more than once before expecting a letter back, as he has many reasons why it may take longer for a brand new penpal to get be responded to.
