Michael Alig clip from "Limelight"

The new Documentary "Limelight" comes out today. One of the Producers is Peter Gatien's daughter Jennifer, who remains friends with Michael (and visits him) to this day. I don't remember exactly when this interview was done, but within the past year, and is the most recent video of Michael. He always thinks he looks old, I don't agree!

what really bothers me as Michael's final release date possibilities get closer everyone seems to exploit Mike for their purposes again. To me it seems none of them has any chance to get into the spotlight so they're all trying to do it on Michael's back .. again ... Agree or disagree folks but that is how I feel about it

That usually is the case, but this time I don't think so. This is Jen Gatien's film who is a friend of Michael, doing a film about her dad, Peter Gatien, who was Michael's boss.

They filmed Michael in prison for quite a long time, I think most of a day, when usual interviews there last an hour or 2.

I'll know when Michael is close to getting out by the certain people that email me for a visit! Happens every time! Yes, you are right about Michael being exploited, and it pisses me off to see him suffer in there now, when he can use more friends helping (writing as well as visiting) him, not when he's in  prison closer to NYC with a short time to go.

oh ok ..yes Jennifer Gatien he calls a friend - I can't judge her cos I don't know her but I know they know each other for a long time/ have a long time of friendship ..

other than that I hope Mike will not fall for all these leeches around him .. for all these insignificant attention whoreing people with insignificant lives that look for their Warholian 15 minutes of fame through exploiting him .. You know who I am talking about

I'm going to see the 7:30 show tomorrow to see how it is. I'll bring you guys some feedback. On a positive note, MICHAEL WROTE ME BACK! YESSSSSS! So happy and excited. He seems so genuine, sweet and super awesome. He gave me a lot of advice and we gave each other encouragement. I'm framing this bitch! LOL <3 Thanks to "lovepurple" for guiding me to write my first letter. I appreciate it so much.

Please mail your messages to Michael to him directly. Even though I'd love to print out the blog and mail it to him, I have found that it's not allowed.

I am stuck not able to see the documentary yet as well. I think it's just in the big cities at artsy movie theaters. I hope I don't have to wait for the video release!

I just bought the DVD on Amazon and I got a free Instant Video (can watch on the computer) with the purchase. Can't wait to see it! Nobody in town has it in store yet and this is one of the cheapest places I have found it online. Have you watched it yet?
